How To: Add an API

Watch this short video to help you get started managing an API using Apigee.

When you add your API to Apigee, you're creating a new API that acts as a facade, or proxy, for your existing API. Rather than calling your existing API, developers call this new API. This proxy decouples your public interface from your back-end API, shielding developers from backend changes, while enabling you to innovate at the edge without impacting your internal development teams.

Check out the product documentation for more information about adding and configuring your APIs.
