The position requires a person with a strong technical and customer interaction skills. The person will be involved in architectural consulting roles for specific customer engagements. The responsibilities will be that of a senior solutions engineer or architect, who can work with customers to gather and understand requirements, work with the solutions developers to define and create innovative API management solutions using the Apigee products, investigate and resolve customer issues in Amazon EC2 environments or in customers’ on-premise environments.
The candidate should have:

A career rooted in the foundation of middleware and enterprise integration.

Hands-on server-side Java coding experience and experience with Eclipse.

Hands-on experience at the Linux command line.

Hands-on experience with XML including schemas and XSLT, web services including SOAP and WSDL.

Hands-on experience with REST including best practices in its design with XML and JSON.

Hands-on experience in security standards such as SSL, awareness of OAuth.

Desirable hands-on experience in supplemental web technologies such as Ruby on Rails, PHP, HTML, and JavaScript.

Telco enterprise experience is a plus.
