New Apigee-powered technology platform helps leading mobility brand give consumers and retailers uniform access to its disparate data systems across devices
January 16, 2014 – Apigee today announced that mobility brand Bugaboo, known for its innovative, high-performance baby strollers, has selected Apigee Edge to provide the app and API infrastructure for Bugaboo’s digital platform. With Apigee, Bugaboo can create a consistent shopping and brand experience for consumers across all devices by integrating and exposing both new and legacy data systems faster. In addition, Bugaboo is using Apigee to establish a new developer portal that will make it easier for developers to build innovative apps that leverage the company’s digital assets, while also giving Bugaboo control and insight into API usage.
In staying true to the company’s mission to meet the needs of modern, on-the-go-parents, Bugaboo is introducing a new digital experience for consumers and retailers. The system is designed to reduce dependencies on legacy systems, technology and integration partners. Using Apigee, data and functionality will be woven through various back-office applications and converted to a uniform, cached and consolidated response for any front or back-office system.

Through the portal, Bugaboo can carefully manage access and usage by monitoring all communication and services and applying logic and policies. This comprehensive visibility will provide Bugaboo granular insights into everything occurring within its digital landscape.
