Chet Kapoor, CEO

As a leader and innovator in the high-tech industry, Chet has spent over 20 years in leadership positions in innovative software and hardware companies including VP of Content Management and Search Products at IBM and VP/GM for the Integration Group of BEA Systems. He was CEO of Gluecode, an open source application server company, acquired by IBM. Chet also served as a VP at webMethods and held various positions at NeXT.

 

Anant Jhingran, Data

Dr. Anant Jhingran (Ph.D Berkeley) joined Apigee from IBM where he was VP and CTO for IBM's Information Management Division and Co-Chair of IBM wide Cloud Computing Architecture Board. He was responsible for the technical strategy for databases, information integration, analytics, Big Data, and helped deliver IBM's PaaS capabilities. Anant has received several awards including IBM Fellow, IIT Delhi Distinguished Alumnus Award, President's Gold Medal at IIT Delhi, IBM Academy of Technology, and has authored over a dozen patents and over 20 technical papers.

 


Dave Jordan, Marketing

Dave brings more than 20 years experience with high-tech companies. His expertise spans marketing, engineering, product management, product marketing and eBusiness. Most recently he ran World Wide Marketing for Rovi Corporation with responsibilities for product marketing, corporate communications, marketing programs and brand. Prior to Rovi, Dave managed all aspects of eBusiness at FrontRange Solutions and previous to this, McAfee and Nortel Networks. Dave graduated with a B.S. In Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee.

 

Don Dixon, Finance

Don brings over 20 years of financial management experience to Apigee. Prior to Apigee, Don most recently was VP of Finance for Blue Coat Systems, where he had overall financial responsibility for the Worldwide Sales and Services organizations. Prior to Blue Coat Systems, Don spent almost 11 years at BEA Systems, holding varying financial roles within the company, supporting field operations, and serving as Assistant Corporate Controller. Don began his career with KPMG in San Jose, where he received his CPA.

 

Ed Anuff, Mobile

Ed is a respected technologist and a proven innovator. Prior to starting Usergrid, he was most recently Executive VPt and General Manager of Six Apart, which is known for creating the Movable Type blogware, TypePad blog hosting software and Vox. He was co-founder of Widgetbox, a popular marketplace for widgets, and he was also co-founder of enterprise software company Epicentric, a provider of enterprise portal software. Anuff was also responsible for the launch of HotBot, one of the first news search engines, when he was an executive at Wired.

 

Gregory Brail, Technology

Gregory has approximately 20 years of experience in the industry. He worked at BEA as technical lead for WebLogic JMS, and kicked off BEA's "Core Engine" initiative, which built a modular "micro-kernel" using core WebLogic technology. Prior to BEA, Greg was Principal Architect for TransactPlus, a LabMorgan spinoff. Greg began his career developing custom middleware libraries for Citibank and worked with transaction-processing pioneers Transarc deploying production systems at JPMorgan and elsewhere. Greg holds a degree in Computer Science from Brown University.

 

Joe Monzo, Americas Sales

Joe is a seasoned technology industry veteran with over 25 years experience in sales, management and executive leadership. Joe has specialized in the launch and scale of emerging technology market opportunities for both established firms and start-ups, executing with customers and partners to gain early-market validation and scale sales. Joe has held a variety of leadership roles at Nortel, Teleport Communications Group, Exodus Communications, and several early stage ventures. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration and Marketing from King's College, Wilkes-Barre, PA.

 

Michael Gardner, Engineering and Operations

Michael is a seasoned leader with deep cloud platform expertise. He began his career leading teams working on tools and compilers for database centric languages, including nearly 10 years at Borland. Michael has spent the last decade working on SaaS based product lines and business models, primarily around eComm. At eBay, he ran the Search technology group as well as a program that converted the 5M line eBay codebase from C++ to Java. At Liveops, he ran a cloud-based call center platform and at Ketera, he led a team that reinvented the model for B2B ecomm.

 

Sam Ramji, Strategy

Sam brings approximately 20 years of industry experience in enterprise software, product development, and open source strategy. Prior to Apigee, Sam led open source strategy across Microsoft, where he and his team contributed code to the Linux kernel. He was a founding member of BEA's AquaLogic product team. Sam holds a B.S. in Cognitive Science from UC San Diego, and is a member of the Institute for Generative Leadership. He holds positions on the boards of the Outercurve Foundation, on the Open Cloud Initiative, and is a contributing editor to the ACM's journal Ubiquity.

 

Scott Regan, Marketing

Scott brings approximately 20 years of experience in marketing and product management of enterprise and consumer software. Previously he was responsible for Local search and maps products at Yahoo!.  Earlier Scott led developer relations and developer product marketing at BEA.  He began his career as a product manager with Microsoft's Visual Studio team and as a developer and systems designer in Accenture's telecom group. He is a graduate of the Duke Engineering and Stanford Business School.

 

Steve Rowland, Worldwide Sales

Steve brings more than 20 years of experience in technology sales. Previously, he was at Blue Coat Systems, where he led sales as VP of Field Operations for regions including the Americas, Asia Pacific and Japan. Steve served as Sr. VP of Worldwide Sales at Workbrain Corporation, which was sold to Infor Global Solutions. He spent eight years at BMC Software, where his last role was VP of Sales. Steve also held sales management positions at Carrier Corporation, a division of United Technologies Corporation. He holds a B.S. in Engineering from Texas A&M.

Tom Weeks, Customer Success

Tom has spent his career focused on building deep customer relationships through his work at large System Integrators, traditional ISV's, and SaaS companies. His most recent experience was responsibility for all aspects of the customer relationship at Skire, a SaaS vendor acquired by Oracle.   Previous to that he built Business Objects global services team through the acquisition by SAP.  Tom holds a B.A. in Economics, a Masters in Information Management, and a Masters in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.

Bob Corey, Chief Financial Officer, FrontRange Solutions

Bob is the CFO of FrontRange Solutions, a leading provider of Cloud-based IT Service Management, IT Asset Management, and Customer Service Management solutions. Bob has over 30 years experience in both hardware and software technology companies including in all aspects of financial management of public and private companies. Bob is experienced in Board governance and has served as Chairman of the Audit Committee for numerous public companies. Bob holds a Bachelor in Business Administration, Accounting from California State University and earned his CPA credential while at Arthur Andersen & Co.

 

Neal Dempsey, Managing Director, Bay Partners

Neal launched his venture capital career in 1989 at Bay. Through cycles of change, Neal's investment thesis has been to find entrepreneurs with domain expertise and the fine art of listening. At the end of the day, customers decide whether startups will succeed or not and without listening to customers, entrepreneurs are seldom successful. This thesis has served him well through investments in category creating companies like Brocade, Informatica and Shiva.

Neal balances the stresses of his workload by giving back to the community. In addition to serving as Managing General Partner at Bay, he serves on the Board of EMQ Children and Family Services (a.k.a. Eastfield Ming Quong). Neal's leadership helped establish the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program at the University of Washington Business School.

 

Promod Haque, Senior Managing Partner, Norwest Venture Partners

Promod has more than 20 years of experience in the venture capital industry and currently serves as senior managing partner at Norwest Venture Partners (NVP). Promod joined NVP in 1990, and has invested in more than 60 companies since he began his venture career, producing nearly $30B in exit values to date. More than 20 of his portfolio companies have gone public and nearly 35 have been acquired (or have gone public and been acquired). Promod was ranked as a top investor on the annual Forbes Midas List for nine years, and in 2004, Forbes named him as the #1 venture capitalist based on performance over the previous decade. In 2006, Promod was presented with a Global Leadership award from NASSCOM, and he was honored with the 2011 SV Forum Visionary Award based on his outstanding achievements and contributions to the technology industry.

Promod focuses on investments across a wide variety of sectors including systems and IT infrastructure, software and services. He was an early investor and a board member of Cerent (acquired by Cisco), Cast Iron Systems (acquired by IBM), Siara Systems (acquired by Redback Networks), OnDisplay (acquired by Vignette), Winphoria Networks (acquired by Motorola) and Extreme Networks (Nasdaq: EXTR).

Prior to Norwest Venture Partners, Promod spent 18 years in operational roles ranging from product development, marketing, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer at various public and private companies including Siemens International, Thorn EMI, Emergent Technologies and Dimensional Medicine, Inc. Promod received a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Delhi, India. He holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Northwestern University and an MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg Graduate School of Management, where he serves on the advisory board.

 

Raj Singh, Co-Founder

Raj Singh brings to Apigee a wealth of experience in founding and managing technology startups. His previous startups include StratumOne Communications, a chip maker for wide area networks (sold to Cisco); InterHDL Inc., an EDA tools maker for chip design (sold to Avant!); and Advancel Logic, a Java processor company (sold to Noise Cancellation Technologies). His bigger success was Fiberlane Communications that was later split into Cerent Systems, sold to Cisco, and Siara Systems, sold to Redback Networks. Raj was co-founder and president of Comstellar Technologies, an incubator for technology startups. Raj is the founder and a General Partner of Redwood Ventures, a technology investment venture firm.

Raj is a co-author of "Digital Design and Synthesis with Verilog HDL", a popular textbook that used by several universities for teaching graduate level courses on chip design. Raj worked as a Scientific Officer at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) in Mumbai, India.

 

Robert Schwartz, Managing Partner, Third Point Ventures

Robert Schwartz is Managing Partner of Third Point Ventures, the Sunnyvale, California-based venture capital arm of Third Point LLC, which is a registered investment adviser based in New York and the investment manager of the Third Point Funds. Since 1984, Mr. Schwartz has also been the President of RF  Associates North, Inc., a privately-held technical manufacturer’s representative firm. Mr. Schwartz is presently a director of several privately-held companies. Mr. Schwartz holds an undergraduate engineering degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

Alan Boehme

Alan Boehme is a seasoned Innovation & Emerging Technology executive. He specializes in business acceleration, and enablement and optimization through effective alignment of technology, process re-engineering and business strategy. Alan has served as SVP & head of IT Strategy & Enterprise Architecture for the USFS division of ING, as well chairman of the global cross banking/insurance business (ING Group). Alan served as CIO for 3 multi-national corporations, including VP and CIO at Juniper Networks, EVP and CIO at Sage Software, CIO e-technology at GE Power Systems.


Aref Matin, Pearson

Aref Matin is the EVP and Chief Technology Officer at Pearson and has made great strides in improving open education platform innovation, architecture focus, and Operational excellence. Prior to joining Pearson, Aref was CTO at Wholesale Applications Community, CTO/SVP of services and Delivery at TomTom, and CTO of Technology Products and Services for RealNetworks, an Internet and mobile media and entertainment technology leader.  Aref started his Engineering and Technology career at AT&T Bell Laboratories.

 

Bill Gajda, VISA

Bill Gajda is the Global Head of VISA Mobile, responsible for VISA’s mobile product and commercial strategies and activities. Prior to joining VISA, he was Chief Commercial Officer and CMO for GSMA, and Global Director, Brand and Marketing Communications for Ericsson in Stockholm. He has held other executive positions including VP, Corporate and Marketing Communications for TELUS Corporation, and VP, Communications for Bell Canada International. Bill obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Alberta, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

 

Carole McCluskey, Coinstar

Carole McClusky is the CTO for Coinstar. During her tenure at Coinstar, Carole has also served as the corporate technology leader, SVP of technology at Redbox Automated Retail, LLC (Coinstar's wholly-owned subsidiary), SVP of corporate IT, the interim head of corporate systems development, and the IT program leader at Coinstar and Redbox. Prior to Coinstar, Carole was the managing director of EttenAj Consulting LLC, an IT consulting firm she founded that advised VMware, Coinstar, Intacct, Edifecs, and Ultimo Software. Previously she held executive positions at TIBCO Software, SchemaLogic, and CapitalStream.

 

Deep Nishar, LinkedIn

Deep Nishar has more than 20 years experience helping to build and grow successful software and Internet businesses. He joined LinkedIn as the SVP of Products and User Experience, where he sets and executes the company’s global product strategy. Before LinkedIn, Deep headed product strategy for the Asia-Pacific region at Google. Previously, Deep was the founder and VP of products at Patkai Networks. Deep holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MSEE from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and a B. Tech with honors from the Indian Institute of Technology.

 

Keith Tanski, Target

Keith Tanski is Director of Enterprise Architecture at Target. Keith has had the opportunity to implement platforms that support multi-billion dollar books of business, create robust delivery organizations to reshape how IT services can be delivered, as well as drive innovative topics across both the Financial Services and Retail industries. His most recent efforts have taken him into the MultiChannel space where he has been working to unlock some of Target's core capabilities, to further enable their capabilities across multiple channels.

 

Mike Linton, Farmers Insurance

Mike Linton has been in marketing and general management for over 30 years. As EVP, Enterprise Chief Marketing Officer of Farmers Insurance, he is responsible for all marketing, brand management, strategic planning, communications and the company’s digital efforts. Prior to Farmers Insurance, he has held various exective positions at Best Buy, eBay, and FreeMonee Network. Mike graduated from Bowling Green State University and Duke’s University’s Fuqua School of Business.

 

Nick Pudar, OnStar

Nick Pudar is VP of OnStar Planning and Business Development, and is responsible for managing OnStar’s planning, business development, and service evolution. During his time at OnStar, Pudar has lead the efforts behind FMV (OnStar’s aftermarket product), Smart Grid Technology and launching their API to third party developers. Pudar received his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from General Motors Institute (now Kettering University), and his MS in Management degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management.

 
 

Richard J. Lynch, FB Associates, LLC.

Richard Lynch is president of FB Associates, LLC. he was the EVP & Chief Technology Officer for Verizon Communications between 2007 and 2011 and EVP & CTO of Verizon Wireless and its predecessors since 1990. Richard has been at the forefront of wireless technology solutions and was responsible for the selection of CDPD, CDMA, EV-DO and LTE for use within the Verizon network. Richard has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Massachusetts.

 

Thaddeus Arroyo, AT&T

F. Thaddeus Arroyo, Chief Information Officer, is responsible for AT&T’s information technology. Prior to joining AT&T, Arroyo served as Chief Information Officer at Cingular Wireless and prior to that he served as senior vice president of Product Marketing and Development for Sabre Corporation. Arroyo has a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a Master’s of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.
