Apigee & AccuWeather: Bringing Developers Access to Industry-leading Weather APIs
At AccuWeather, we’re proud of how broadly our APIs are used by established, widely recognized global partners. Our extremely accurate weather forecast and warning data is integrated in connected cars, smart homes, wearables, smart TVs, mobile devices and more.
But we wanted to broaden the innovation that AccuWeather APIs can spark, by giving developers fast, simple, and cost-effective access to AccuWeather’s world-class weather data. So we’re very excited to unveil the new AccuWeather API Developer Portal, which provides turnkey package options to accelerate developers’ access to the most accurate, detailed global weather forecasts and warnings, available exclusively from AccuWeather.
It’s an easy, end-to-end, intuitive experience that grants access to AccuWeather’s exclusive lifestyle indices, severe weather alerts, current conditions, radar and satellite images, and daily and hourly forecasts. AccuWeather’s new tiered offerings also enable developers to access and customize weather APIs in over 100 languages and dialects.
Built on the Apigee Edge API platform, the AccuWeather API Developer Portal enables us to leverage our data and reach expanded audiences in the developer community. The Apigee platform gives AccuWeather full access to API gateway capabilities, API, app, and developer analytics, and more.
A free trial to access AccuWeather APIs is now available to developers, in addition to three package options—Standard, Prime, and Elite—starting as low as $25 per month. The AccuWeather API packages include additional API endpoints, allowing users full customization based on the data call volume, data types, level of detail, and locations each developer needs. Users can also reach AccuWeather technical, sales, and customer service support teams to answer API and technical-related questions.
Developers can get more information and sign up for a free trial on the AccuWeather API Developer Portal here.
