Today on the first day of Mobile World Congress, the GSMA made a major announcement: it launched the OneAPI Exchange, powered by Apigee. The GSMA OneAPI Exchange is a breakthrough interoperability solution that seamlessly integrates operator services into mobile apps. It represents a completely new model for API interoperability that facilitates close collaboration between operators and developers to create new, telco-enhanced mobile app experiences for consumers.

The GSMA OneAPI Exchange is powered by the Apigee API platform and new Apigee exchange technology. It builds on our momentum in the telecommunications industry, where companies including AT&T, KT, Telefonica, Telenor and Vodafone have adopted Apigee’s API platform. Last year, we Apigee established a partnership to provide Apigee's services to the nearly 800 mobile operators who are members of GSMA.

The OneAPI Exchange has already garnered the participation of leading mobile operators including AT&T, Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Telefonica and Vodafone. If you happen to be in Barcelona this week, be sure to stop by the GSMA Pavilion at the show to get a first-hand preview of the OneAPI Exchange in action through some really cool demo apps.

We are extremely pleased to continue our collaboration with the GSMA, an association that unites and represents the interests of the world's leading mobile operators, to help bring OneAPI Exchange to the telecommunications industry.
